In this week’s message from Andrew Murray’s book, “With Christ in the School of Prayer,” specifically LESSON 30: THE MINISTRY OF INTERCESSION
The Ministry of Intercession reminds us that through Jesus Christ, every believer has been called into a holy priesthood. Just as Christ was anointed by the Spirit as our High Priest, we too are anointed and sealed by the Holy Spirit to share in His ministry. Like the oil that flowed from Aaron’s head to his garments, Christ’s anointing flows to all who belong to Him.
One of the greatest expressions of this calling is intercession—standing before God in prayer for others. Christ continually intercedes for us, and through Him we are invited to do the same. Intercession is both our privilege and our calling as we draw near to God.
