Dear Jesus, I often call you my friend more than my Father, but today I call you my Father. I know my requests are many, but I have learned that no matter how much we talk and pray, in the end you will answer: yes, no, or not now—wait. Please, Father Jesus, I ask you to ease the pain of my grandma Janet from cancer. Every part of her weak body hurts every day—please reduce it or take it away. Protect her as you have protected her before. Be with her and with us. I know, Lord, there is no treatment left that can help her since cancer has spread through her whole body, but I trust you are stronger than cancer and able, even until the last moment, to heal her and remove the illness from her body. Thank you because you hear my prayer and the prayers of everyone who will pray for my grandma Janet. We lift her up before you, Lord, because you are the Lord, the greatest healer, and the loving Father full of blessing. Amen.
